Amanda Carpenter
Amanda is a daughter and sister by adoption from Korea to Clovis, CA, a wife to Blake, and a homeschooling mother to Ethan (16), Micah (15), Rose (12), and Simon (8) by way of adoption and birth.
Since her salvation in Jesus Christ back in 1999, she attended Moody Bible Institute (Don’t be fooled. She didn’t graduate, but fell in love with learning.), has been involved in a variety of ministries, such as, church planting, women’s bible studies, and so on. However, it was later when the Lord began to make clearer his heart for the fatherless. In this, He revealed Amanda’s own hidden hurts, wrong thinking, and even more of a heart’s desire to spread the good news of Jesus Christ and to encourage His saints to keep walking by faith, with discernment, and in love.
Jamie Finn
Jamie is the biological, adoptive, and foster mother of 4-6 children. When she's not homeschooling, changing diapers, playing Pokemon, making slime, and singing Let it Go, she spends her time blogging at Foster the Family, hosting the Real Mom Podcast, serving as the Director of Foster the Family, Inc., and speaking to foster and adoptive parents. Jamie is passionate about encouraging and equipping foster and adoptive parents, inspiring people to get involved in foster care and adoption, and advocating for foster children.
Jaymi Matranga, MSW
Jaymi has experienced the Child Welfare system from almost every side - as a former former youth, a former kinship legal guardian, and a current parent (and grandparent!) through birth, foster care, and adoption.
Additionally, when she is not at home with her husband caring for teens and toddlers, she is working as a social worker coming alongside of other families in crisis. She is passionate about trauma-informed care, elevating the voices of those with lived experience, and preserving biological family connections when at all possible. Jaymi carries a message of hope, redemption, and belonging.
Overall, her unique perspective and full-circle experiences have become the platform from which she advocates on behalf of vulnerable children, teens, and families.
Rebecca Boganwright
Rebecca Boganwright is a worship leader and minister at Sandals Church in Riverside, CA. She has been married for 18 years to Andrew Boganwright, Marriage Pastor at Sandals. Together, they adopted two boys from Ethiopia, Kingston (15) and Nobel, who is living in peace forever with Jesus. Rebecca believes that being an adoptive mom is one of the bravest choices a woman can make and she is honored to be a part of the FIlled Conference.
